When asked what I wanted to do for my birthday I knew in an instant. Ever since I had found this place I had been itching to go. Sam literally booked this back in March π if you’re anything like me you will LOVE this place.
As soon as we arrived I instantly felt relaxed. The place is so welcoming & so are the staff. When we checked in the lady couldn’t have been anymore helpful. She booked us a table for the evening & a slot to use the hot tub the following morning. We didn’t even realise we could do that, plus it was free too. Which was a nice surprise.
The room:
We booked an original spa room which I was more than happy about π the bathroom was stunning with marble tiles, a drench shower πΏ & some luxury toiletries. I used the shower on the morning we left & for a bath lover I was pleased π the bed was massive!! Really comfy too. A wall mounted tv in front of the bed if you wanted a cosy night with a film. Plus tea, coffee, hot choc & bottled water. Then it gets to the good bit.. The dual bath tub with tv & the sauna. I mean your own sauna? What more could you want?! There was even a little candle by the bath π― outside there was a firepit with logs, fire lighters, matches & newspaper! Even blankets to wrap up in when it gets chilly. They really have thought of everything. There were plenty of towels & robes too. I think the floor was heated too so it can still be enjoyed in the winter months.
The extras:
The little added touches always make an experience complete. So the rooms didn’t have their own fridges etc which then meant we had our own fridge in the corridor our room was down. I think we shared it with 4/5 other rooms. The fridge had milk, soft drinks etc in it. Then on the side was a biscuit barrel, these were sooo yummy, lemon sweets galore, marshmallows for toasting by the fire & sticks too ππ½ plus sauna oil to help yourself to. In the cupboards were more logs for the fire, games if you fancied playing a game during your stay too… πyeah, no comment on that one.
Our evening meal was delicious. We had four iffits to share for a starter, whitebait, gin cured salmon, bacon & Cromer crab cake. So yum. Even though it took me a little while to actually eat the whitebait π for the main I had ham hock with mash & roasted veggies. I definitely couldn’t eat it all there was sooo much. Sam had battered fish & chips, which looked tasty.. Didn’t get to try that as Sam demolished his π we both had a few drinks with it too, but the dessert we had to give a miss as we were both so full.. Breakfast was again, perfect. I had smoked salmon & scrambled eggs. Sam wanted the same but I had the last of the salmon, sorry babe π so he had kedgeree, which is haddock & poached egg. Was actually really tasty π they also had loads of nice yoghurts & bits that you could help yourself to. Look at my cute little tea cosy π·
When we arrived the first thing we did was have a few drinks at the bar, because it was my birthday so why not? πΎ lovely atmosphere & reasonably priced too ππΌ we then decided to order a smoothie to be brought to our room, which were alcohol based. I had ‘tropigal’ which was coconut, banana & Malibu π & Sam had ‘pigs nickers’ which was chocolate & peanut butter with baileys π« we decided to get straight in the bath, I did bring a bath bomb with me which was one Sam got me for my birthday. It smelt sooo good. We drank these whilst we relaxed in the tub watching tv. Got a liiiiittle bit carried away & forgot the time. So then we both started to get ready for our meal.
Like I’ve already said the dinner was amazing, so I won’t waffle on too much. But if you ever go you MUST have the ham hock. Delicious ππΌ we had by this time had a few too many to drink π
We decided to grab a load of goodies from the cupboard, so mainly biscuits & marshmallows π Sam was getting the fire going whilst I set the sauna up, which took 20 minutes to heat up. I opened a bottle of prosecco for us to continue to celebrate. The fire was a bit of a disaster… π₯ we just ended up smelling of smoke, so we gave up & took our drinks into the sauna! Hot hot hot π¦ we then got back in the tub & watched a movie. We were both knackered after a hard day of relaxing π
The following morning we had our breakfast. So anyone who knows me & Sam will know we love food, we love it that much we were the first ones up for breakfast πβοΈ after breakfast we went through to the hot tub & had a lovely time chatting away to each other. It can’t get much better than that on a Monday morning. . I didn’t want to leave the place was so good.
Has anybody else ever been here? I’d love to know your thoughts & how your stay went.

Ps. I bought my dog some posh sweets, chicken & rice sticks πΆπ
