Blogmas; day 8 πŸ½πŸŽ…πŸ½

Overeating is one of the main things that happens at Christmas. I find that a lot of the time it is because you’re out of your normal routine. We have started to have breakfast now on Christmas Day to keep a bit of a routine going. Which does help… A bit. You don’t feel quite so hungry by the time your dinner is ready πŸ’πŸ½ so I will probably be having porridge or a shake

This year I am determined to not pile my plate up & try to keep myself restricted to a normal portion. I don’t need lots of pigs in blankets & I don’t need second helpings…. I thought if I keep telling myself this it might actually help… πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ does anybody else struggle with this? My lovely Twitter followers agreed πŸ™Š

A few tips that I have given myself this year are:

1. put more veggies on my plate for a start… Then I can’t overdo it with pigs in blankets or Yorkshire puddings πŸ™ˆ

2. eat my dinner at a slow & steady pace, so I feel fuller quicker.

3. lastly, drink more water with my meal πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ of course I will be having alcohol too, but water with your meal is always a good idea πŸ’§

*I will be eating lots of Christmas chocolate & getting merry on wine. Don’t you guys worry*

Please wish me luck with this as I have worked so hard to get myself into reasonably good shape so I don’t want it to all go to waste πŸ’ͺ🏽

  1. Loved this post! I agree on the slow eating. It helps me be a bit more conscious about how much I’m eating with each bite and let’s me know when my stomach is genuinely full. πŸ™‚ Also, that porridge in the picture looks yummy! ❀
